Hello Patients and Families:
On Sunday, March 22, 2020, Governor Abbott issued an executive order restricting all healthcare professionals and facilities. According to the Executive Order No. GA-09, “beginning now and continuing until 11:59 p.m. on April 21, 2020, all licensed health care professionals and all licensed health care facilities shall postpone all surgeries and procedures that are not immediately medically necessary to correct a serious medical condition of, or to preserve the life of, a patient who without immediate performance of the surgery or procedure would be at risk for serious adverse medical consequences or death, as determined by the patient’s physician;” The governor also pointed out in his comments that violation of executive orders could lead to potential fines and even jail time for those who do not comply.
This means our office closure is extended to April 21st at this time. All appointments will be rescheduled. Please allow time for planning and we will be contacting everyone.
Please understand an emergency visit is only considered for significant pain, infection, limited function and trauma. Broken brackets, broken wires and poking wires are considered ELECTIVE and should be addressed with wax, personal clippers, Tylenol, etc. We will need to triage situations to determine if a visit to the office is necessary. Personal protective equipment that is hospital level is required for the visit and would deplete these supplies. We are extremely understanding of what these restrictions all mean to our patients and community. The goal is to support the hospitals as they are in need and to slow the spread of this virus so that we can resume normal operation as soon as possible. There is always someone to speak with from our team. We are here for you. Please reach out to our office by phone, email or chat. We will get back with you as soon as we are able.
